Rick Moranis, Cameron Diaz, and Lindsay Lohan are among actors who stepped away from acting roles before returning to film projects. Moranis appeared in the 2024 film Shrunk, a continuation of the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids franchise. Diaz starred in the 2024 Netflix film Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx. Lohan appeared in the 2024 Netflix holiday film Our Little Secret. The actors had previously reduced or ceased their on-screen work for periods ranging from several years to over a decade before taking new roles.
