Jobs Surge Raises Odds of September Fed Hike

The U.S. jobs report exceeded forecasts, according to Bloomberg reporting. Jonathan Golub, managing director and chief equity strategist at Seaport Research Partners, said the stronger employment data supports a case for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. Golub told Bloomberg hosts Christina Ruffini and Jeff Mason that he is concerned about longer-term bond yields amid increased artificial intelligence investment and government borrowing.
