Coney Island Boardwalk Set for $1 Billion Upgrade

The Alliance for Coney Island announced a planned $1 billion investment to rebuild the Coney Island boardwalk and support local businesses. Daniel Murphy, executive director of the Alliance for Coney Island, said the upgrades are intended to strengthen Coney Island as a year-round community. The plan includes establishing a permanent business improvement district. Bloomberg reported the announcement.
