Syria's Jihadi Government Begins Destroying Assad-Era Chemical Weapons

Ahmed al-Sharaa, the Syrian president, confirmed to the United Nations on Thursday that Syria has begun destroying chemical weapons stockpiles from the previous Assad government. The confirmation was made during UN proceedings. The chemical weapons had been held by the prior Syrian administration.
