USS Intrepid's History Spans War, Space and 9/11

The USS Intrepid served in World War II, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War before being preserved as a museum in New York. Susan Marenoff-Zausner, president of the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, said the vessel is significant for the historical events it witnessed. The museum attracts over one million visitors annually and houses exhibits related to naval operations, space exploration, and the September 11 attacks.
