Instagram’s AI detection is a mess (again)
Friday, September 4, 2026
Instagram's system for labeling artificially generated content has incorrectly labeled user-submitted images as AI-created in recent weeks, according to user reports. The cause of the mislabeling and scope of affected accounts have not been specified by Meta.
