Steve Irwin's family celebrates 'superhero' dad, 20 years after shock death

Steve Irwin, an Australian wildlife expert and television personality, died on September 4, 2006, after being struck in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a documentary at Batt Reef near Port Douglas, Queensland. He was 44 years old. His family marked the 20th anniversary of his death in 2026.
