Microsoft slashes Xbox Cloud Gaming to just 15 hours a month for Ultimate subscribers
Thursday, September 3, 2026
Microsoft announced a change to Xbox Cloud Gaming access starting in November, reducing the service from unlimited monthly hours to 15 hours per month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The company made the change less than a year after expanding cloud gaming access to multiple Game Pass tiers. Game Pass Premium and Essential subscribers will face the same 15-hour monthly limit. Microsoft did not provide a public statement explaining the rationale for the reduction at the time of the announcement.
