Poland was reclassified as a developed economy from an emerging market status, a change that expands its eligibility for investment funds previously restricted to developed markets. The reclassification took effect on a specified date determined by international index providers. This change allows institutional and retail investors whose mandates limit them to developed-market investments to add Polish securities to their portfolios.
