Brent oil price above $96 per barrel after Iran fires missiles at Kuwait

Oil prices rose above $96 per barrel following reports of Iranian missile strikes on Kuwait. The price increase of more than 7% this week coincided with military exchanges between the U.S. and Iran. This marks the first direct military engagement between the two countries since July 2026.
