Gloria Steinem, lodestar of the modern women’s movement, dies at 92

Gloria Steinem, a co-founder of Ms. Magazine and prominent advocate for women's rights, died at age 92. The cause was cancer, according to a statement from the Ms. Foundation for Women. Steinem co-founded Ms. Magazine in 1972 and was active in organizing women's rights events and speaking engagements throughout her career. She published multiple books on feminism and gender equality.
