ING Told to Add Capital by Australia Watchdog After Failings

Australia's Australian Prudential Regulation Authority imposed additional capital requirements on ING Bank Australia Ltd. after the bank disclosed it had misreported its liquidity position over multiple years. The regulator's action followed ING's disclosure of the misreporting to authorities. ING Bank Australia is a subsidiary of Dutch financial services company ING Group.
