Uber beats Waymo as first to launch robotaxis in London

Uber launched a commercial robotaxi service in London with vehicles using autonomous driving technology developed by Wayve, a UK-based startup. The service initially operates with safety drivers present in the vehicles. Uber and Wayve had been planning the London launch for several years.
