FCC plans robocall scorecard to grade phone companies on spam call blocking

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

The Federal Communications Commission is developing a scorecard system to evaluate phone carriers on their performance in blocking robocalls and spam calls. The scorecards are planned to include call-blocking statistics and data on customer complaints received by each carrier. The FCC has not yet announced a timeline for implementation or specified which metrics will be weighted most heavily in the grading system.
