India Raises Record $127 Billion in Forex Deposits From Diaspora

India received approximately $127 billion in foreign-currency inflows from its diaspora through a special dollar-swap window between June and the time of reporting. The inflows came from approximately 35 million members of the Indian diaspora. The central bank implemented the window to strengthen reserves and provide support for the rupee currency.
