Uber is laying off 10% of staff, or 3,300 people

Uber announced layoffs of approximately 3,300 employees, representing about 10% of its global workforce. The company stated the reductions are intended to reduce management layers and increase investment in ride-sharing, delivery, and robotaxi operations. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced the decision in a company memo.
