Self-funded CEO claims GOP nomination to challenge Massachusetts Democrat’s second-term bid

Mike Minogue secured the Massachusetts Republican Party nomination for governor at the party convention with 70% of the vote, defeating former MBTA executive Brian Shortsleeve. Minogue will challenge Governor Maura Healey, a Democrat, in the general election. Healey is seeking her second term as governor.
