Scandal-plagued 'Squad' rep cruises to Democratic nomination with no GOP roadblocks in view

U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley won the Democratic nomination for Massachusetts's 7th congressional district without opposition. Pressley's husband, Conan Harris, received a federal contract valued at approximately $120,000 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2021 while she served in Congress. No Republican has filed to run in the general election in the district, which has voted Democratic in recent elections.
