Anthropic launches Claude Fable 5.1 and says it’s up to 45 percent cheaper for agentic work

Anthropic released Claude Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1, stating the models cost approximately 25 percent less than their predecessors and up to 45 percent less for complex agentic tasks. The company said Fable 5.1 delivers stronger performance than Fable 5 while addressing customer feedback regarding pricing, data retention policies, and content filtering practices.
