Conservative Keiko Fujimori officially declared winner of Peru's presidential runoff election

Keiko Fujimori defeated Roberto Sánchez in Peru's presidential runoff election. The margin of victory was narrow. Fujimori stated she would pursue an "iron fist" approach to address crime. The election was held on June 28, 2023.
