Swim instructor needed 38 stitches after being attacked by an otter while swimming in Lake Tahoe

Lynnette Bellin sustained injuries requiring 38 stitches and received rabies shots after an encounter with a wild otter while swimming in Lake Tahoe. Bellin reported the interaction lasted approximately five minutes. The incident resulted in her hospitalization for treatment of the wounds.
