Pakistan Backs US-Iran Peace Framework as Best Hope for Region

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told Shanghai Cooperation Organisation leaders on Tuesday that Pakistan supports the US-Iran peace framework negotiated in Islamabad. Sharif stated that Pakistan "firmly believes" the framework offers the best prospect for regional peace. Pakistan's government facilitated discussions between US and Iranian representatives that produced the framework.
