U.S. sanctions on Iran have resulted in the cancellation of English proficiency and graduate entrance exams administered in the country. Test administrators cited restrictions on financial transactions and service provision to Iran as the reason for halting exam operations. Iranian students preparing for study abroad programs have been unable to sit for these examinations as a result.
