Hyundai Monthly Sales Tumble to Four-Year Low on Labor Strikes

Hyundai Motor Co. reported monthly sales of 247,852 vehicles in December 2025, the lowest figure since December 2021, according to company data. The automaker attributed the decline to production stoppages resulting from labor strikes at its South Korean facilities. Hyundai's domestic sales fell 19.3 percent compared to the same month in 2024.
