Woman Fatally Shot in Gun-Free Times Square Following Knife Attack

A woman stabbed two people in Times Square on January 15, 2026 at 4:26 p.m., according to the NYPD. Officers responded and shot the woman approximately one minute later. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
