A group funded by Andreessen, Horowitz, and Brockman plans data center ads to sway midterms

Build American AI, a group that received funding from venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz as well as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, plans to spend millions of dollars on advertisements in select states promoting data centers ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The group intends to target voters in those states with messaging about the benefits of data center development. Build American AI has not disclosed specific states, budget figures, or timing for the advertising campaign.
