Nationals pitcher Cade Cavalli told Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras to "sit down, boy" after striking him out. Contreras threw his helmet toward the field in response. The exchange resulted in a bench-clearing altercation, and both players received seven-game suspensions from Major League Baseball. Cavalli subsequently issued an apology for his remarks.
