Car owners want tech they can ignore

A JD Power survey of 68,084 car owners found that the vehicle features rated most favorably were those requiring minimal driver interaction, according to the firm's latest technology assessment. Automakers continue adding large touchscreens and software-dependent systems to new vehicles despite consumer preference data indicating lower satisfaction with these features. The survey results suggest a gap between the technology manufacturers install and what owners report using or valuing most.
