Debian won’t ban AI code from its Linux distribution

Debian's project leadership voted to permit developers to use artificial intelligence tools when contributing code, documentation, and maintenance work to the Linux distribution. The policy states that AI use is subject to the same standards applied to all contributions, without special exemptions or restrictions.
