Chevy built an All-American EV truck. Why is nobody buying it?
Friday, July 3, 2026
General Motors began shipping the Chevrolet Silverado EV in 2024 with a starting price of approximately $110,000. The truck features a 200-kilowatt-hour battery pack and an estimated 450-mile range on a single charge. Sales figures for the model have not met initial projections, according to GM's quarterly reports. The Silverado EV competes with the Tesla Cybertruck, Ford F-150 Lightning, and Ram 1500 Revolution in the electric pickup market.
