Harmeet Dhillon, head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, has secured agreements from universities and requested voter data from states. The Civil Rights Division, which has historically pursued cases involving discrimination claims, has shifted its enforcement priorities under her leadership. Dhillon was appointed to the position in 2025.
