Trump Intercedes to Push Robert Smullen Out of N.Y. House Race

Assemblyman Robert Smullen, who lost the Republican primary for the New York House seat, announced he will not seek the Conservative Party line as an alternative ballot option. Stefanik's seat became open following her appointment as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Smullen's decision came after former President Donald Trump expressed opposition to his candidacy.
