Mamdani turns on New York City teachers union with lawsuit blocking pay raises for educators

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani filed a lawsuit seeking to block paraprofessional bonuses that had been negotiated between the city and the United Federation of Teachers. The union subsequently filed a motion to intervene in the case. Mamdani previously supported the bonus payments.
