Trump cuts to science advisory boards have long-lasting consequences, researchers say

Since President Trump took office in 2025, hundreds of experts were dismissed from federal science advisory boards that provide research guidance to government agencies. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and individual federal agencies confirmed the removals.
