Unstable Manhattan Building Had More Damaged Columns Than Previously Known

Drawings reviewed by engineers show eight additional steel columns with insufficient reinforcements at a Manhattan building, according to documents obtained by The New York Times. The building's structural damage was previously reported at a lower count. Engineers determined the reinforcements did not meet required standards on these columns.
