Russia Hikes June Subsidies to Refiners as Fuel Shortages Bite

Russia's subsidy payouts to oil refiners increased more than six-fold in June compared to June of the previous year, according to Reuters. The government increased the payments to refiners that supply domestic markets. Russian officials attributed the move to efforts to maintain adequate domestic fuel supplies.
