Nashville airport may be renamed to honor Dolly Parton

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee proposed renaming Nashville International Airport to honor Dolly Parton following her death. The airport's official name change would require approval from Metro Nashville city council and the airport authority. Parton, a Tennessee native and country music artist, died on December 6, 2024, at age 79.
