Florida Becomes First State to Ban Cash Welfare from Being Used for Tattoos, Video Games

Florida passed legislation restricting cash welfare recipients from using benefits to purchase tattoos, video games, tobacco, and vaping products. The state implemented the restrictions on items classified as nonessential under the welfare program. Florida is the first state to enact such spending restrictions on cash assistance.
