Meta executive leaves for OpenAI as the social media giant faces growing scrutiny in India

Sandhya Devanathan, a Meta executive, joined OpenAI to oversee operations in Southeast Asia and Australia. Meta did not announce the departure or comment on reasons for her departure as of the time of reporting. OpenAI confirmed Devanathan's hiring but did not disclose her previous responsibilities at Meta.
