New Hampshire man allegedly steals rescue truck from firefighters battling his burning home

Nestor Roman II allegedly stole a rescue truck on March 15, 2026, while firefighters were battling a fire at his home in Dalton, New Hampshire. The truck nearly struck three firefighters before Roman crashed it several miles away, according to the Dalton Fire Department. Roman was arrested and charged with theft of emergency vehicle and reckless endangerment. The fire at his residence was extinguished by responding crews.
