ICE Officer Wanted in Minnesota Released by Texas

The Cameron County Sheriff's Office in Texas released an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who was wanted in Minnesota in connection with an officer-involved shooting. Texas Governor Greg Abbott did not sign the rendition request for extradition that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had submitted. The officer was released following Abbott's decision not to approve the extradition.
