Former Major League Baseball player Mark Teixeira announced a campaign for Congress in a Texas district, and former National Football League player Jay Feely announced a campaign in an Arizona district. Both attributed their decisions to appearances on Fox News host Sean Hannity's program. Teixeira and Feely are registered Republicans.
