Atlantic Storm Dolly Isn’t a Tribute to the Late Country Singer

The National Hurricane Center confirmed that Tropical Storm Dolly, which formed in the Atlantic, was not named in reference to country music singer Dolly Parton. Tropical storm names are assigned from a predetermined annual list established by the World Meteorological Organization, not chosen in response to current events. Parton died earlier in the week.
