Wendy's Falls on No Buyout Bid; Meta Moves on Settlement | Stock Movers
Thursday, August 27, 2026
Dollar Tree shares declined following the company's third-quarter and full-year guidance, which fell short of market expectations after a 38% stock gain since May 28. Meta shares moved after the company agreed to pay up to 18 billion dollars in settlements with US states over social media claims, with the agreement requiring Meta to implement new restrictions on its platforms including limits on youth screen time and mandatory parental consent to disable certain safety settings. Wendy's shares fell after Reuters reported that Trian Fund Management has no plans to bid for the fast-food chain at this time.
