Oregon ER doctors win a 'David and Goliath' battle against a national company

Doctors at a hospital in Eugene, Oregon exercised protections under a state law that took effect in 2024, which allows physicians to challenge staffing company decisions to replace them. The doctors successfully opposed a national physician staffing firm's plan to replace their positions. Similar laws are being considered in other states.
