Thursday, August 27, 2026
Ratko Mladić, a Bosnian Serb military commander, led forces during the 1992-1995 Bosnian conflict. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia convicted him in 2017 of crimes against humanity and war crimes, including responsibility for the Srebrenica massacre in July 1995, in which approximately 8,000 Muslim Bosniak men and boys were killed.
