Florida becomes first state to block welfare cash for tattoos, vapes and more

Florida enacted a welfare restriction program that prohibits benefits from being used for tattoos, theme-park tickets, video games, vapes, and other items classified as nonessential purchases. The measure was described as the first of its kind among U.S. states. President Trump indicated support for the policy and suggested other states consider similar restrictions.
