Tap-to-pay charity scam can cost you thousands

Tap-to-pay devices used by charitable organizations have been involved in transactions where initial donations of $15 to $20 resulted in charges of up to $5,000, according to reports of the scheme. Victims discovered the unauthorized charges after multiple transactions accumulated on their payment cards.
