About 1,800 volunteers pulled ropes to move the 360-tonne Hirosaki Castle keep back into position using hikiya, an ancient Japanese moving technique. The castle structure, located in Aomori Prefecture, had been relocated as part of a restoration project. The move was completed using only ropes and manual labor without modern machinery.
