Google’s new AI transcription edits out your ‘ums’ and ‘ahs’

Google announced updates to Gemini Audio that include new transcription capabilities in Gemini 3.5 Live, 3.5 Live Experimental, and 3.5 Transcribe models. The updated models detect specialized jargon and support more than 85 languages while processing voice input with reduced sensitivity to background noise. The transcription feature removes filler words such as "um" and "ah" from generated text.
